ROTTERDAM - Reggae artist Rass Motivated was chosen as the lucky winner of the Music Matters Award out of twelve competing finalists last Saturday December 10th at the 5th Music Matters Awards at a sold out Theatre Zuidplein in Rotterdam.
The twelve finalists were competing for the title of “Music Ambassador Rotterdam 2012” and an encouragement prize of € 15 000,-. There was also an audience and jury prize awarded second and third. Previous winners were Sabrina Starke, Kevin Ferreira da Silva, Ntjam Ming's Pretty Heroes and Rosie.

As most of the Awókey Fam. already knows, DJ Jizza has been hosting Waistline Shotz on Awókey Radio
for quite some time now, allowing our listeners to enjoy a mid-week Caribbean break by tuning in to a unique selection of Soca music with a touch of Dancehall Reggae and of course we can't forget to bring it home from time to time with some cool Afrobeats.
