ZIGGY MARLEY has called for all of Jamaica’s beaches to be made accessible to local people.
This comes following months of reports that some local Jamaicans were being denied access to some beaches on the island.
A leading campaign group, Jamaica Beach Birth right Environmental Movement (JABEM), claim the law which regulates Jamaicans right to access all beaches stems from the colonial era and is “racist” and discriminatory and they want this changed.

After being restricted from all outside activities and events for well over two years. Were are very pleased to finally be able to continue celebrating our Caribbean culture. Unfortunately for us as a start-up band there were too many complications to be able to participate with Rotterdam Carnival this summer. As a result we've decided to postpone our journey as a masband for Rotterdam Carnival. Be sure to stay tuned as we prepare for the return of the Freedom Limerz in 2023.

With the launch of the carnival season a couple of weeks back, the celebration of DJ Jizza’s birthday and of course our recent Awókey Mas Tabanca fix at Club Laxx in Rotterdam we most definitely had a lot to celebrate. We would like to thank all who came out to party with us at Waistline Shotz last Friday and we of course hope see you all on the road again next year.
